Display new posts issue

Hi,

Im having an issue after following a few guides on here, I have mchat displaying new posts and topics, however if a moderator edits a post and submits it, it shows in the chat. I would rather this did not happen.

Any ideas?

It is not possible for a moderator to edit a post in the forum and have it show in the chat because of this in the code

there is no $post_mode == 'edit'

ask your moderator(s) if they have been changing/editing the topic in the chat area.

Hi, sorry, they have edited the post using the "Edit" button attached to the post itself I have just tried it myself, If I edit any posts and them submit them, it displays it in mchat as "New Reply"

That isn't possible for the reasons I have stated. If the post_mode is "edit" then nothing happens in the message area.

Unless you have something within your file that sets the edited post to new replay or new post.

Ok, well obviously it is possible because I have tried it,

The only thing i can think I is I have the "new topic notification" enabled in Mchat acp settings?

I have plenty of other mods running but none of which relate to this as far as I am aware.

The setting in the ACP allows new topics to appear in the chat area.

No one else, including on here, is experiencing what you are describing.

Provide a link to your forum with an account that has posting and edit privileges within your forum.
