Available score and earned score

I've gotten myself a bit confused again regarding the "available score" and "earned score"

How are they calculated? Is the "earned score" how much gamerscore has been earned since the leaderboard was added?
And the "available score" is how much there is for people to get, so if it was "0" everybody would have 100% of their gamerscore?

Earned score is the total of all the scores members have earned in a game in the leaderboard games table. Available score is the total of all the score of the games members have played and that are available.

So if you have three users and they have only played the same and one game and that game has a total game score of 1000 possible, then the available would be 3000. Player one has 550, player two 350 and player 3 1000 the earned score would be 1900.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm confused now how the "Total gamer score" is calculated, as this is higher than the "available score".

Taken a few moments ago from (leaderboard.php)

"Available score" is less than "Total Gamer Score"

It really confuses me because when adding up everybody's gamerscore in only the first few from the list this is over the "Earned score" too.

Only keeps track from when the leaderboard first started in use.

XBox keeps track of your total score (gamer score) but not of all the games you have played on your gamercard which is where the information for your gamer score is gotten from.
